The process is anonymous and Martindale-Hubbell selects the lawyers and judges who make the peer review. Only those lawyers with the highest ethical standards and professional abilities are awarded this honor by their legal and judicial peers. In 2015, both Michael B. Scott and Michael J. Narvid were recognized as Southern California’s Top AV Rated Lawyers of 2015. The AV rating is established by Martindale-Hubbell, a distinguished company that has long set the standard for legal ratings.

Southern California’s Top Rated Lawyers of 2015, is a publication featuring legal talent from the lower half of the Golden State. Distributed in 2015 to all subscribers of the LA Times, it is available online, Legal Leaders. Only lawyers who have achieved the peer reviewed rating of AV Preeminent by Martindale-Hubbell are featured in the publication.

Additionally, both Michael J. Narvid and Michael B. Scott were also recognized as Super Lawyer for 2016, a separate legal rating awarded to less than one half of one percent of attorneys. Super Lawyers rates lawyers who have attained the highest degree of peer recognition and professional achievement.
